Shopify Automation

Turn hours of manual Shopify work into minutes.

Every Shopify store repeats the same jobs. Prices adjusted product by product. Stock levels corrected by hand. Products published, unpublished and re-tagged one at a time. Orders chased between a spreadsheet, an inbox and the admin panel.

We replace that work with condition-based workflows built inside your own store — so the routine runs itself, accurately, every time, and your team spends its hours on the things that actually need a person.

Sound familiar?

Where the hours actually go.

Manual store management rarely fails loudly. It just quietly consumes the time that should be going into products, customers and growth — and introduces errors nobody notices until a customer does.

01

Bulk changes done one by one.

A seasonal price change, a supplier cost increase, or a sale that has to come down on Monday morning. With a few hundred products, that is an afternoon lost — and a real chance of missing a variant.

Bulk price, inventory and product status workflows apply the same rule across the whole catalogue in one pass, on a schedule or on a trigger you set.

02

Orders managed across three places.

Enquiries in an inbox, order notes in a spreadsheet, fulfilment status in the Shopify admin. Nothing is wrong exactly, but nothing is connected either, and things slip between the gaps.

Order, fulfilment and notification workflows move each order through its own steps automatically, and route what needs a human straight to the right person.

03

Customer data that nobody segments.

Repeat buyers, high-value customers and first-time visitors all sit in the same undifferentiated list, because tagging them properly would mean doing it by hand.

Tagging and segmentation rules classify customers as they buy, so your marketing has something meaningful to target from day one.

What we build

Automation that fits how your store already works.

We don't install a product and hand you a login. Every workflow is built around the way your store is actually run, inside your own Shopify account, using Shopify Flow and custom rule-based logic where Flow alone isn't enough.

Shopify specialist configuring bulk product updates and workflow automation

Shopify Automation

Automate repetitive Shopify operations and turn hours of manual work into minutes.

We build intelligent, condition-based workflows that eliminate repetitive store management, reduce human error, and keep your store running efficiently — whether that means a single bulk-update routine or a connected system spanning inventory, fulfilment, notifications and CRM.

Includes

  • Bulk price updates
  • Bulk inventory (stock) updates
  • Bulk product status updates
  • Shopify Flow automation with custom conditions
  • Automated store management workflows
  • Order, fulfilment & customer notifications
  • Customer tagging & segmentation
  • CRM routing & workflow automation
  • Third-party app integrations
  • Custom automation solutions for your business

Bulk catalogue operations

The jobs that scale badly with catalogue size.

Anything you would otherwise repeat per product. Defined once as a rule, applied across the catalogue, and reversible if the result isn't what you expected.

Typical workflows

  • Scheduled sale pricing on and off
  • Cost-based price recalculation
  • Stock sync and low-stock handling
  • Auto publish / unpublish by condition
  • Collection and tag maintenance
  • Bulk metafield updates

Order & customer workflows

The jobs that scale badly with order volume.

Rules that watch for an event — an order placed, a payment captured, a customer crossing a threshold — and carry out the steps that always follow it.

Typical workflows

  • Order routing and fulfilment steps
  • Internal notifications to the right person
  • High-value and repeat-buyer tagging
  • Risk and hold-for-review flags
  • Enquiries pushed into a CRM
  • Post-purchase and review follow-up

The automation audit

We look before we build.

Every automation engagement starts with a free review of how your store is run today. The point isn't to sell you workflows — it's to find which repeated tasks are genuinely worth automating, and which ones are better left alone.

Get your free automation audit
  • Repeated manual tasks What your team does daily and weekly by hand, how long each one takes, and how often it goes wrong.
  • Catalogue structure Product count, variants, collections, tags and metafields — the things that decide whether a bulk rule is simple or delicate.
  • Existing apps What already automates part of a process, so we integrate with it instead of building a second system that fights the first.
  • Plan & API limits What your current Shopify plan supports, so nothing is recommended that would quietly require an upgrade.
  • Order & fulfilment flow The path an order takes from placed to delivered, and which steps are rules rather than judgement calls.
  • Data leaving Shopify Where information is copied into a spreadsheet, inbox or CRM by hand, and whether it can move on its own.
  • Risk and reversibility Which changes would be destructive if a rule misfired, and what staging each of those needs before it goes live.

How a project runs

Built in phases, measured at every step.

Automation goes wrong when too much is switched on at once and nobody can tell which rule caused what. We deliver one workflow at a time, and prove it before moving on.

  1. 1

    Map the manual work

Document the task before automating it.

We write down each repeated job exactly as your team performs it today — the trigger, the steps, the exceptions. A task that can't be described as a rule isn't ready to be automated, and that's a useful finding in itself.

    You get

    • A list of every repeated task
    • Time spent on each, per week
    • Which are rule-based vs. judgement
    • A prioritised automation shortlist
  2. 2

    Build & test in isolation

Small scope first, full catalogue second.

Each workflow is built inside your store and run against a handful of products or orders, so its behaviour can be observed before it touches anything that matters.

    Includes

    • Shopify Flow conditions & actions
    • Custom logic where Flow falls short
    • Test run on a limited data set
    • Rollback plan for destructive steps
  3. 3

Roll out one at a time

One change live, then the next.

Workflows are switched on individually rather than as a batch, so if something behaves unexpectedly there is never any question about which rule caused it.

    Includes

    • Staged activation per workflow
    • Monitoring across the first cycles
    • Integration with existing apps
    • Handover notes for your team
  4. 4

    Maintain & extend

Stores change. Rules have to keep up.

New products, new suppliers and new campaigns all change the assumptions a workflow was built on. Ongoing engagements keep the rules matched to the store.

    Includes

    • Workflow review as the store changes
    • New automations as needs appear
    • Failure monitoring & correction
    • Documentation kept current

What we build with

The tools behind the workflows.

Native Shopify features first, custom development only where the native tools genuinely can't reach. Fewer moving parts means fewer things to break later.

Shopify native

  • Shopify
  • Shopify Flow
  • Bulk editor & CSV operations
  • Metafields & automated tagging

Custom development

  • Supabase
  • Custom CRM development
  • Third-party app integrations
  • Claude AI

Monitoring

  • Google Analytics
  • Looker Studio
  • Workflow run reporting

How we work on automation

  • Built in your store, owned by you Every workflow lives inside your own Shopify account, created through secure staff permissions rather than shared passwords. If the engagement ends, the automations and their documentation stay with you and keep running.
  • Nothing destructive without a rollback Bulk price changes, stock overwrites and status changes are staged against a limited data set first, with a documented way back. A workflow only meets the full catalogue once its behaviour is known.
  • We'll tell you what not to automate Some tasks need a person to make a call each time, and automating them creates more work than it removes. If a job on your list is one of those, we'll say so in the audit rather than build it and invoice for it.

FAQ

Shopify automation questions.

The questions merchants ask before starting. If yours isn't here, just ask — you'll get a straight answer, not a pitch. Pricing is covered on the pricing page.

Shopify automation replaces repetitive manual store management with rule-based workflows. Instead of updating prices, stock levels or product status one product at a time, a condition you define triggers the change automatically. It covers bulk updates, Shopify Flow workflows, order and fulfilment routing, customer tagging, notifications, and moving data between Shopify and the other tools you use.

No. Shopify Flow is available on Basic, Shopify, Advanced and Plus plans, so most stores can run workflow automation on the plan they already pay for. A small number of advanced Flow features and higher API limits are reserved for Plus. During the audit we confirm what your current plan supports before recommending anything, so you're never asked to upgrade for work that would have run either way.

The ones you repeat on a schedule and that follow a rule you could write down. Bulk price and inventory updates, publishing and unpublishing products, tagging customers and orders, routing enquiries into a CRM, and fulfilment and notification steps are usually the fastest wins. Tasks that need a judgement call every time are better left manual, and we'll say so.

Workflows are built and tested against a small set of products or orders before they're allowed near the full catalogue, and each one is switched on in isolation so its effect can be observed. Existing apps keep working; where an app already owns part of a process, we integrate with it rather than duplicating it. Anything destructive, such as a bulk price change, is staged and reversible.

A single workflow is usually live within a few days of the audit. A full automation programme covering bulk operations, order routing, customer segmentation and CRM integration is delivered in phases over several weeks, so each phase can be measured before the next one starts. The audit gives you the sequence and the timeline before any work begins.

You do. Every workflow is built inside your own Shopify account through secure staff permissions, never shared passwords. If the engagement ends, the automations, the documentation and the history stay in your store and keep running.

It depends on how many workflows are involved and how much of your operation they touch. A single bulk-update workflow is a small scoped project; a connected system spanning inventory, fulfilment, notifications and CRM is a larger one. Pricing is quoted after the free audit, once the scope is actually known.
